From the Director-November 2012

Wow it has been awhile.  Two jobs and my director position have kept me pretty busy.  The holidays are upon us.  There were Haunted Houses galore that donated their proceeds to the Muskego Food Pantry.  Many thanks to Heritage Presbyterian’s Haunted House, Honest Home Inspection’s Haunted Garage, and Quitewoods Subdivision’s Haunted House.  We received monetary donations and tons of food.  It is “Food for Families” time again.  Look for the barrels located in Piggly Wiggly, Pick N Save and Walmart.  We are feverishly putting the finish touches on our Thanksgiving dinners for our families.  The Muskego Lion’s Club has again this year adopted 25 Muskego Families for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We have an additional 50 families that will have their dinners provided by the food pantry.  If you wish to donate a turkey, trimmings or help assemble the baskets just come to the pantry any Thursday morning at 9am.  With the weather getting colder please remember warm hats and mittens are needed and money spent for heating cannot purchase food.  Thank you for your generosity.

Scott was a well-respected volunteer at the Muskego Food Pantry.  Scott and his wife Nancy joined us in Spring of 2010 when our home was at Salentine Buick/Pontiac.  Scott was a behind the scenes kind of guy.  He did most of our repairs, built shelves, and a lot of stocking and cleaning.  He taught a lot of our young kids needing community service the fine art of breaking down boxes.  Scott always had a positive attitude and a smile for everyone.  His generousity and commitment to his community will be missed.
