From the Director-September

WOW that was a short summer.  Kids are back in school so lunches are provided.  Big garden harvests are coming in.  Donations are good.

Thank you Muskego Elementary for your garden that you worked so hard on and your produce donations over the summer.  We have received over 250 pounds of fresh produce from your garden.  Thanks for your hard work.  Also the community garden at the Settlement Center has been bringing produce a couple of times a week.  Thank you to all of the gardeners in the area who have been bringing an abundance to the pantry.

I guess with summer ending winter is right around the corner which means high energy bills.  We will again be having someone from Energy Assistance at the pantry to help fill out the forms.  With having to pay energy bills food budgets shrink, so again keep us in mind when you do your grocery shopping and help fill the barrels at Piggly Wiggly,
Pick n Save, and Walmart.

We really appreciate everyone in the community who supports the food pantry by donating food, money, or time.  We couldn’t help so many without your help.
