Letter from the Director – April

April Fools…it’s supposed to be spring.  Heating bills are still taking it’s toll and there is no end in sight.  We have a few things to be thankful for in March.  Many thanks to Al and Barb Schroeder who with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church donated over $3,400 to purchase a brand new commercial freezer.  This will hold a ton of meat and hopefully be much more energy efficient.  We were also the recipients of Scouting for Hunger.  Three different packs and troops in the Muskego area donated over 1500 non-perishable items. There was also $90 donated.  We’re still in the process or sorting and stacking.  Stamp out Hunger will be held on May 10th.  Remember to put out your groceries for your Postal Carrier.  That is the biggest food drive of the year for us.  Please help make it a success. As always please keep us in mind when you do your grocery shopping.  Our summer slump is right around the corner and we already have over 75 families signed up for an Easter Ham.  Til next month when hopefully it will be in the 60’s when I write my letter.  Thanks for your support.
